ABOUT US
Musically Yours, and our eCommerce brand Digital DJ Gear, have been serving the music industry since 1973. We started out as a small store in Maywood, NJ and have since grown into a large operation at our newest location, 217 US-46 W, Saddle Brook, New Jersey, with both retail and online services. Our clients include many of the Tri-State area bands and DJ’s, including local and national acts. We are proud to have made many long lasting friendships and relationships in the music industry within these thirty years.
At Musically Yours, we offer sales, rentals, and service of live sound gear and accessories. For all online shopping needs, Digital DJ Gear is the premier go-to website built by DJs, for DJs. We are industry veterans and we KNOW gear. We also understand that when you need something you want it to be hassle free, so every product you see on our website is 99.9% IN STOCK in our warehouse. Since we pride ourselves on our experience and knowledge, we only want to offer you products that we truly stand behind so we’ve hand selected the brands and products that we carry.
Some of the major brand names we represent both in-store and online are Yamaha (we do not ship outside the United States), Peavey, Yorkville, Cerwin-Vega, QSC, Crest, Pioneer DJ, Denon, Electro Voice, Ashley, Mackie, Latin Percussion and Rane, just to name a few. Our team provides the services and equipment necessary for DJ’s, sound professionals and musicians in a manner that makes them feel respected and important, and always doing our best to insure the continued success of our customers.

OUR HISTORY
Musically Yours opened its doors in 1973 in Maywood, New Jersey — a small shop with a big passion for music and the people who make it. From day one, our mission was simple: give musicians, DJs, and sound professionals access to gear they can truly rely on, backed by people who actually know what they’re talking about.
Over the following decades, demand grew and so did we. Our move to 217 US-46 W, Saddle Brook marked a new chapter — a larger space, an expanded inventory, and the launch of Digital DJ Gear, our dedicated online platform serving the DJ community nationwide.
Through every stage of growth, the things that mattered most stayed the same: expertise, honesty, and a genuine commitment to our customers’ success. Fifty years in, we’re still here — still hands-on, still passionate, and still doing things the right way.

Our Story
The Musically Yours family has been serving musicians, DJs, and entertainers for more than 50 years. For over 40 of those years, Eddie Decker led the team with a simple mission: help working artists build a real living doing what they love. That spirit still runs through everything we do. Many of our team members started here as teenagers and grew into managers, systems engineers, and designers, and several have been with us for 10 and even 20+ years. Some of our longtime customers’ families have been shopping with us for decades, and today their kids are part of our team. Since 2014, our ecommerce division, DigitalDJGear, has carried that same service to customers nationwide.

EDDIE DECKER
Past Owner · In Memoriam
For more than 40 years, Eddie led the Musically Yours team with one mission: helping working DJs and musicians start, grow, and run businesses that let them make a living making music. He knew that path firsthand. A Bergen County native, Eddie toured the country with a 10-piece band during his college days at North Texas State University, and the National Endowment for the Arts awarded him a grant to study seven-string guitar with Bucky Pizzarelli. He spent decades as the seven-string guitarist in jazz singer Tony DeSare's band. At the store, Eddie designed our in-house credit programs so talented people could get the gear they needed to start working, and he made every customer feel special and important. He also served on Hackensack's Main Street Business Alliance board from its founding in 2004 and was later named its Chairman. We lost Eddie in December 2024. A memorial fund in his name, started by his family and Tony DeSare, provides scholarships to music students in northern New Jersey.
SAM RONEY
Owner
Sam has been part of the Musically Yours team for 13 years and has led DigitalDJGear since it launched in 2014. Before joining, he built and owned SCJ Pro Entertainment, DJRentalGear.com, and Xclusive Productions, which he sold when he came to Musically Yours, along with a large pro audio and lighting ecommerce and distribution company. Sam brings deep experience in audio, event production, shipping and logistics, and purchasing, and spent years DJing Hoboken clubs, weddings, bar mitzvahs, sweet 16s, and corporate and retail events. Today he leads brand partnerships and finance and oversees merchandising and marketing. Having learned from Eddie, Sam is relationship-driven and keeps the customer experience at the center of everything we do. Sam speaks English and Spanish, plus conversational Italian.

PHIL
General Manager · Retail Sales, System Design, Programming & Installation
Phil joined Musically Yours six years ago, bringing more than a decade of music retail experience plus a background in production design and installation. He runs all retail operations, overseeing purchasing, merchandising, the sales team, and our design and installation team. Phil is methodical by nature: when he designs a system, he makes sure it works from A to Z before it's deployed. He's well versed in audio programming, DMX lighting programming (ShowXpress, MyDMX, and WolfMix), and video wall programming. Away from the store, Phil is a dedicated father and an active DJ who plays events across the U.S. and the Caribbean as DJ Philly Phil (@deejayphillyphil).
EDSON
Lead Outside Sales · System Design, Installation, Programming & Touring
Edson has been with Musically Yours for more than 20 years. He started with us as a teenager and grew into a talented systems engineer and designer. Today he leads our outside sales, designing and installing sound and lighting systems for restaurants, bars, and houses of worship throughout the NYC metro area. He programs lighting in MyDMX, ShowXpress, LightJockey, and many other platforms, and handles audio programming across a wide range of processors. Outside the store, Edson works as a DJ, event producer, and production manager, so every system he designs comes from someone who runs shows himself. Edson speaks English and Spanish.

VITO
Lead Installer & Programmer
Vito was Eddie's best friend and his go-to installer for more than 20 years. A master plumber and contractor by trade, he brings a builder's eye to every job and oversees on-site installation for most of our projects, making sure every speaker, light, and cable run is mounted safely, cleanly, and built to last. Vito also handles system programming, so he sees each install through from the first bracket to the final sound check.
JUAN “TETI”
Retail Sales & Programming
Teti has been with Musically Yours for more than a decade. He started in our shipping department, earned his way onto the sales floor, and has built deep programming knowledge along the way. He programs lighting in MyDMX and ShowXpress and handles audio programming across a variety of processors. Teti is an active DJ and AV technician and works on many of our installations, so when he recommends gear, he's speaking from real experience in the field. Teti speaks English and Spanish.

JEFF
Assistant Manager · Retail & Rentals
Jeff's connection to Musically Yours started long before he joined the team: his dad has been a longtime customer. Jeff came on board while he was still in high school, and in four years he's risen to Assistant Manager and head of our rental department. He helps production companies cross-rent the exact gear they need for specific events, and he walks first-time renters through choosing the right equipment and learning how to use it properly. Jeff has been working in production for nearly 10 years, since his 12th birthday, and is an active DJ. Jeff speaks English and Spanish.

Associate · Retail Sales & Programming
Chris joined the Musically Yours team this year, but he's been part of the family much longer. He comes from a musical family that has been shopping with us for more than two decades, and Chris was a longtime customer himself before coming on board. A working DJ with a background in event production, he brings a wealth of knowledge in audio and lighting gear and programs lighting as well. Chris speaks English and Spanish.

GROVER
Lead Repair Technician & Sales Associate
Grover has been part of the Musically Yours family, on and off, for more than 20 years. As our lead repair technician, he fixes speakers, subwoofers, lighting, DJ gear, and just about anything with electronics inside, so when something stops working, it ends up on Grover's bench and comes back running. He also works the sales floor, where his repair experience means he can tell you which gear holds up over time. Grover speaks English and Spanish.

ANTHONY
General Manager · eCommerce
Anthony and Sam go back years. They worked together at a previous company, and Anthony rejoined him at DigitalDJGear more than five years ago. He started in customer service and worked his way up to General Manager of eCommerce in 2025. Today he oversees every part of the DDJG operation: product data, promotions, our website, third-party marketplaces, and customer service. Anthony also owns a recording studio and is our go-to recording specialist for both DigitalDJGear and Musically Yours customers. Before focusing on studio work, he spent many years as a working DJ.
STEPHEN
Data Management Lead
Stephen has worked alongside Sam in a number of ventures over the years, and at DigitalDJGear he leads the charge on data management, keeping product information accurate across our website and every channel we sell on. He's now also leading our push into AI, putting newly available tools to work in our daily workflows so we can serve customers faster and smarter. Away from the screen, Steph is a huge football fan and loves just about every sport. Steph speaks English and Spanish.

CHRIS C.
Warehouse Operations
Chris took over DigitalDJGear's warehouse operations from Armando, who ran the warehouse from the day DDJG launched. He handles inventory control and shipping, making sure orders go out accurately and on time. Before joining the team, Chris founded the industrial and dark electro band Xentrifuge, played drums for Life Cried, and has been part of projects including The Atlas Amp and Lovver. He lives locally with his wife and child.
