Pubkey DC — Bar & Venue

Pubkey DC is a ground-up bar and venue build that required audio coverage across four unique spaces — a main event room, two separate bar areas, and a downstairs dining room — each with its own system but all managed from a single centralized matrix. For the main event area, we installed a DAS Audio rig consisting of Event 115A tops, six Event 26A fills, and an Event 218A subwoofer, delivering concert-grade sound for live performances and DJ sets. Mixing runs through a Midas M32R console paired with a Midas DL32 stagebox, while system tuning is managed by a DBX Driverack Venue 360. The wireless package includes two Shure SLXD dual systems with Beta 58A capsules, distributed through a Shure UA844 system with UA874US antennas for clean, reliable RF. Event lighting is handled by an ADJ Wolfmix1 MK2 controller driving a pair of ADJ UBL12H fixtures. The two bar areas each received their own dedicated speaker systems — Bar 1 runs four DAS Altea 408A compact speakers, while Bar 2 uses six QSC AD-S5T surface-mount speakers powered by a QSC SPA4-100 amplifier. The downstairs dining area is served by a QSC GX5 amplifier feeding background music throughout the room. Tying it all together, a DBX 1261 matrix processor with four DBX ZC8 zone controllers allows staff to independently manage volume and source selection across every room from wall-mounted panels. The result is a venue that can run a loud live show upstairs while keeping the dining room at conversation-level volume — all from one integrated system.
