Residential Pixel Mapped LED Lighting System

OBJECTIVE:

Musically Yours was commissioned to design and install a custom pixel-mapped LED lighting system for a private residence in New York City. The project called for a dynamic, color-changing lighting setup that could transform the look and feel of the space on demand — from ambient relaxation to full-color immersive scenes — all controlled through a single driver system.

Project Summary:

This residential project turned a standard living space into a fully controllable lighting environment using ADJ’s pixel-mapping technology. We installed twenty ADJ Pixie Strip 120 units and five ADJ Pixie Strip 30 units across the ceiling, integrating them between architectural panels to create a seamless, built-in look. Each strip is individually addressable through the ADJ PIX820 Pixie Driver 8000 v2, which gives the homeowner complete pixel-level control over every color, pattern, and effect. The system produces a full color spectrum from video images, adding color movement to the room. The strips were mounted flush between ceiling panels, keeping the hardware invisible while maximizing the visual impact when the system is active. The before-and-after transformation speaks for itself — what was a conventional dark-toned room became a dynamic, mood-driven space that shifts from calm to electric at the touch of a button.
